Product Description

Stay moving and stay motivated with the ProForm Razor 400 Stride Select elliptical trainer. The trainer is equipped with ProForm's Stride Select technology, which allows you to switch up your workout with a different stride or find a better individual fit. As a result, you can build and stretch your hamstrings with long strides or work your quads with shorter, more powerful strides. The Razor 400 is also notable for its one-step SpaceSaver design, with innovative pedals and a compact base that fold up quickly and easily to save you nearly 3 feet of precious floor space. As ProForm says, fitness is about getting in shape, not getting in your way. Most importantly for fitness-motivated individuals, the Razor 400 comes with four personal trainer workouts that automatically adjust the resistance of the elliptical to focus on aerobic, weight loss, or performance goals. The trainer also includes two heart rate (HR) workouts to help you stay in the proper training zone for your fitness level. The HR workouts automatically increase the resistance when you need to raise your heart rate and decrease the resistance when you need to lower it. Or you can turn to the quick resistance buttons, which let you manually adjust your resistance level from 1 to 10.

The Razor 400's SpaceSaver frame includes a folding base and pedals for easy storage.
Perhaps the handiest feature for users, however, is the treadmill's support for iFit workout cards. Each card is designed by a certified personal trainer and plugs directly into the elliptical trainer's console, automatically adjusting your resistance. At the same time, the voice of a personal trainer takes you through each workout. All told, the iFit workouts can help you lose weight, feel great, and improve your overall performance in just eight weeks. Once activated, the iFit workouts--which are available in Wellness and Weight Loss categories--not only offer customized, goal-specific results, but also automatically control the speed and incline of your treadmill as you progress, helping you reach your fitness potential. The trainer comes with a demo iFit card that includes three 20-minute workouts. And sometimes a workout program just isn't enough, which is why the trainer also includes an Interplay music port compatible with your iPod or MP3 player. The port lets you play your own music through the built-in sound system as you exercise.

Other features include a ClearView backlit display that tracks your time, speed, distance, resistance, pulse, and calories burned in large, easy-to-read numerals; frictionless Silent Magnetic Resistance technology; an EKG heart rate monitor with built-in handlebar sensors; an odometer; a water bottle holder; an AutoBreeze workout fan built right into the console; and a capacity of 275 pounds. The Razor 400 measures 26.5 by 61.5 by 63 inches (W x H x D) and carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

proform razor elliptical trainer - beware of the crummy shipping!

Review Date: July 9, 2009
Reviewer: love my job, california
i bought the proform razor 400 stride-select elliptical trainer using an amazon gift certificate - i ended up paying about $150 dollars out of pocket. i read all of the reviews and should have heeded the warnings about the horrible shipping. good night! it arrived with the box busted wide open, the pieces just sort of clanging around. the plastic pieces (seems a little rickety, but i've only had it put together for a few days, so i can't vouch for its durability yet) were scratched and scuffed because of the contact with the metal pieces. the package holding all of the hardware had come open and some of the screws were lost in transit. that meant a trip, actually 2, to home depot to try and make a match. also, widening the stride is quite a challenge.
i probably would not have bought this machine had it not been for the amazon gift certificate.
